Here is an outline of how the website design process works:
Phase One – preparing cost estimates
You write as detailed a description of all of the initial website functionality you want.
You select from either our example websites or from the internet the elements of page layout and style that you want incorporated in your website and outline them to us in an email.
We provide you with an estimate of the cost to build the style and layout of website design you have specified including the functionality requirements.
Phase Two – building the site
Upon acceptance of our proposal including a signed website design agreement and partial down payment we begin the design phase.
We prepare a draft of the home page including your logo, navigation and relevant images and text for your review.
You review and comment on the draft and we go back and forth until you are satisfied with the final home page design.
We create sub pages based on the home page, perhaps with different column configurations and navigation layouts depending on your original specification.
We build the site architecture including all pages, navigational links and a site map.
We install all text supplied by you and install any page specific images you may select and supply.
We test all links and forms on the website to insure correct functionality.
You test the site for functionality and navigation and provide feedback on and changes or corrections needed.
We make the website live on the internet.
Phase Three – website search engine optimization and promotion to increase traffic and improve rankings for relevant search phrases
We discuss and define the 1st tier search phrases which are important for your target market, 2nd tier and third tier. You prioritize the terms for us. We can assist in preparing a base list and gauging the traffic that each search phrase may potentially generate.
We perform on page search engine optimization to each and every page of the website to focus each page on up to three relevant search phrases. If there are no pages for specific search phrases you may be asked to provide relevant text for those search phrases so that pages may be added.
We submit your finished and optimized website to the open directory project http://www.dmoz.com and to Yahoo’s directory.
We create an account for your website on Googles Webmaster Tools and submit a site map.
We submit your website to as many relevant internet directories as we can find.
We submit your website to other relevant websites for potential reciprocal link exchanges on a monthly basis.
We monitor Urchin Traffic reports and Google webmaster tools reports each month and adjust our link building campaign to focus on subsequent search phrases as results are achieved for each of the pre defined search phrases.
The preceeding is intended to be an example of the services we may provide and the steps that maybe required to design and develop your website project. In some cases not all steps may be required and in others additiional steps may be required.
